TICKET DESCRIPTION:

Single Admission is for one person, one time only.

Family Admission includes two adults living in the same household and their minor children, one time only.

Step back in time and discover the captivating history of Southold, NY at Southold Historical Museum, located on the beautiful East End of Long Island!

Experience what life was like before modern conveniences at our Maple Lane Complex, at 55200 Main Road, Southold, where you’ll find a 1750s homestead, an authentic 1812 schoolhouse, and other historic structures. Explore exhibits and artifacts on early transportation, farm life, spinning and weaving, and more.

With your admission, you’ll receive a passport to visit our nearby Nautical Museum at Horton Point Lighthouse at 3575 Lighthouse Road, Southold. Uncover thrilling exhibits detailing the early history of the lighthouse, its keepers, and the baymen, along with shipwrecks, whaling, and other seafaring adventures. Climb the 58-ft. tall tower. Fun for all ages!

**You are free to visit the Lighthouse first since it opens earlier.

GET GOING

Take the Long Island Rail Road to Southold station. Turn right on Youngs Ave. Make a left on Route 25 and walk approximately 1/8 mile to Southold Historical Museum Maple Lane Complex at 55200 Main Road, Southold. Afterwards, take a ride service or walk (with caution) approximately 2 miles to the Nautical Museum at Horton Point Lighthouse at 3575 Lighthouse Road, Southold.

Train passengers with a bike pass can take the train to Southold station and enjoy a scenic ride through North Fork Wine Country to the Lighthouse and Museum.

Or, take the Long Island Expressway to Route 25 and drive to the Maple Lane Complex at 55200 Main Road. Free parking on Maple Lane. Drive to the Nautical Museum at Horton Point Lighthouse at 3575 Lighthouse Road. $5 per car parking fee in Park District lot.

Note: You may choose to visit the Lighthouse first.
